Role overview
Our client, a well-established organisation operating in the HVAC service and maintenance sector in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Service Manager to support the supervision and coordination of technical service operations.
This role is suited to a motivated mechanical engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced technical environment and has a strong interest in maintenance operations, technical problem-solving and team coordination.
Role Overview
The Assistant Service Manager will support the management of the service and maintenance function, ensuring the efficient operation of HVAC systems and related building services across client sites.
Working closely with the Service Department leadership and technical teams, the successful candidate will assist in coordinating maintenance activities, supporting troubleshooting and ensuring high service standards are delivered to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Support the supervision and coordination of the service and maintenance department
Assist with the commissioning and servicing of HVAC equipment supplied by the group
Participate in diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to HVAC systems
Oversee and coordinate maintenance works, including mechanical, electrical and plumbing activities where required
Work closely with technical teams to ensure efficient response to service requests
Maintain strong working relationships with contractors, suppliers and industry professionals
Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety standards and company procedures
Assist in planning and prioritising multiple service tasks and operational requirements
Contribute to maintaining high service quality and operational efficiency
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 12–18 months, the successful candidate will:
Contribute to the efficient coordination of maintenance and service activities
Support the technical team in delivering reliable and timely service to clients
Strengthen operational organisation within the service department
Assist in improving responsiveness and service quality across maintenance operations
Candidate Profile
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Approximately 1–3 years of experience in a similar engineering or technical service role
Strong organisational and coordination skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and operational priorities simultaneously
Good communication and teamwork skills
Solid computer literacy and familiarity with engineering-related tools
Fluency in Greek and English
Professional attitude with strong customer and service orientation
