Tendering Engineer – Building Services

Our client, a well-established organisation operating in the mechanical contracting and building services sector in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit a Tendering Engineer to support the preparation and development of technical and commercial proposals for major building services projects. Role Overview The Tendering Engineer will play a key role in the preparation and submission of competitive project tenders. The position involves analysing client requirements, developing technical solutions and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to deliver accurate and well-structured project proposals. The successful candidate will contribute to the company’s ability to secure new projects while ensuring that proposals are technically sound, commercially viable and aligned with project specifications. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for building services projects Review client enquiries and translate project requirements into structured and costed tender submissions Define the scope and technical parameters of project offers Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to obtain technical information and pricing inputs Support the negotiation and clarification of technical specifications and contract requirements Respond promptly to client enquiries during the tendering process Work closely with the engineering and technical teams to ensure accurate project solutions Maintain professional relationships with consultants, architects and industry stakeholders Coordinate multiple tender submissions simultaneously while managing competing priorities Ensure compliance with internal standards and professional ethics What Success Looks Like Within the first 12–18 months, the successful candidate will: Contribute to the preparation of competitive and technically robust tender submissions Strengthen collaboration with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors involved in the tendering process Improve the efficiency and organisation of tender preparation workflows Support the company’s success in securing new mechanical contracting projects Candidate Profile Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Previous experience in a similar role within mechanical contracting or building services Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Strong communication and negotiation capabilities Good commercial awareness and understanding of project costing Proficiency in standard engineering and office software tools Fluency in Greek and English Why This Role This position offers the opportunity to work within a well-established technical organisation with a strong presence in the building services sector.
